A Black Friday landing page to sign up merchants

I designed and built the page for Appmax’s Black Friday campaign. It moved out of the main website, lost the menu and got the email field at the top, so that people coming from the campaign had a single path to the sales team.

Context

On Black Friday, merchants can’t lose sales to declined cards or a slow checkout. For Appmax, it’s the moment to show its approval rate and technology to merchants still using another payment company. The initial request was a Black Friday themed page inside the website, with the same menu as the other pages.

The page is in Portuguese, as it was launched for merchants in Brazil.

Problem

Inside the website, the page competed with its own menu: people coming from the campaign had many ways out and only one way to become a sales lead.

My role

I was responsible for the design and the code of the Appmax website. For this campaign, I designed and built the whole page and the integration that sends the form data to HubSpot. I adjusted the layout directly in the code: I got the team’s comments through Jira, published a new version to the staging environment and came back with the next one.

Process

The first version was a themed page with the website menu and a button to the form. In the final version, the menu was removed and the email field moved to the top, next to the phone showing the approval rate.

First version: the website’s full menu at the top and a button reading “Migre com condição exclusiva” (Switch with an exclusive offer)
First version, from September 8.
Approved version: logo, headline, email field and a button reading “Quero migrar para Appmax” (I want to switch to Appmax)
The approved, launched version, from September 25.
A static copy of the page, with no tracking and with links and forms disabled.

Outcome

The page was approved by the leadership and launched on September 25, 2026. The metrics for tracking the campaign are the landing page’s conversion rate, from visits to submitted emails, the leads that turned into conversations with sales and the source of leads by campaign channel.
